Celebrating Innovation, Leadership & Digital Impact: Raccoon Web at the Women in Tech Awards 2025

We’re proud to share that Raccoon Web was invited to attend the prestigious Women in Tech Awards 2025 in Belfast — an evening dedicated to recognising the achievements of women who are leading the way in technology, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation.

The highlight of our night? Celebrating our incredible client Donnamarie from Landlord & Tenant Protection Ltd, who was a finalist in two major award categories:

  • Digital Transformation Leader of the Year (sponsored by Sync)
  • Entrepreneur of the Year (sponsored by Allstate)

Recognising Women Driving Change in Tech

The Women in Tech Awards are more than a celebration — they’re a powerful reminder of how vital female leadership is to the future of technology. Surrounded by female founders, tech innovators, and digital changemakers, the event showcased the best of what the UK and Irish tech scene has to offer.

Donnamarie’s nominations speak volumes. Her platform, Landlord & Tenant Protection, is revolutionising the property industry through tech — creating smarter, safer, and more transparent experiences for landlords, tenants, and agents. She embodies everything these awards stand for: impact, leadership, and bold digital transformation.

Our Collaboration with Donnamarie: A Platform with Purpose

From the first discovery call, it was clear Donnamarie wasn’t just building a business — she was building a solution that would empower people and solve long-standing problems in the rental sector.

Working with her, we developed a custom WordPress portal that includes:

  • A multi-role dashboard experience for landlords, tenants, and agents
  • Tenant application management tools and credit tracking via Canopy
  • Ratings and reviews functionality for transparency and accountability
  • Integrated insurance options including tenant liability and rent guarantee
  • A clean, user-friendly interface that balances function with trust

As a web design and development agency that champions transparency and problem-solving, this project aligned beautifully with our values at Raccoon Web. Watching Donnamarie’s vision come to life — and gaining recognition on a national stage — was a proud full-circle moment for our team.

Connecting with the Community

The event wasn’t just about awards — it was also an inspiring opportunity to connect with other female founders and leaders across tech and business.

We had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with:

  • Fiona McNamee, founder of Glam Genie
  • Gráinne Bankhead, founder of Help You Home Ltd
  • Jude Copeland
  • Heather Carr
  • Christine Watson
  • Jenny Ervine
  • Nikki Elliot
  • Seamus Cushley

Each conversation brought new insights, shared experiences, and a strong sense of solidarity within the tech space. These connections reminded us just how valuable it is to champion underrepresented voices and foster community within the industry.

Looking Ahead: Women in Tech 2026 and Beyond

While Donnamarie didn’t take home the trophy this time, the recognition as a double finalist is a huge win in itself. We have no doubt we’ll be back next year — hopefully watching her accept a well-deserved award on stage.

To all the 2025 winners and finalists — congratulations. Your achievements are paving the way for future generations of women and non-binary individuals in STEM, business, and innovation. The future of tech is more inclusive, collaborative, and visionary because of you.
