IRTE Workshop Accreditation has a brand-new home online, launching this Monday. The refreshed site gives operators, fleet managers and maintenance providers a faster, clearer way to find accredited workshops and start the accreditation process — all built on a platform that pulls live data straight from SOE’s Dynamics 365 CRM.

What Is IRTE Workshop Accreditation?

IRTE Workshop Accreditation is the independent audit for best practice in road transport workspaces, run by the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE). It’s an independent commercial review of workshop facilities, procedures and practice — covering everything from premises and equipment to technical staff, documentation and quality — carried out by SOE-approved auditors. It’s suitable for workshops of every size, from small local operators to large passenger-carrying and commercial vehicle maintenance providers.

Why This Launch Matters

For operators, choosing a maintenance provider is a trust decision. The IRTE Workshop Accreditation Register exists to make that decision easier — but the old site made it harder than it needed to be to search, browse and trust the data. This rebuild puts the register front and centre, with accredited workshops now pulling directly and automatically from SOE’s CRM, so the directory stays accurate without manual admin.

What’s New on the Site

  • A live, searchable Workshop Register — find accredited workshops by name or location, with certification and expiry dates always current
  • A clearer accreditation journey — from first enquiry through to audit and certification, laid out in simple steps
  • A cleaner, mobile-first design — built to work as well on a phone in a workshop as it does at a desk
  • Direct CRM integration — the register and audit centre listings sync automatically with Dynamics 365, so there’s no double-entry and no stale listings
  • FAQs and clear guidance — answering the questions operators and workshops ask most, from audit duration to what happens if a workshop doesn’t pass first time

Built for Two Audiences at Once

The site has to work for two different journeys at the same time: operators searching for a trustworthy accredited workshop, and maintenance providers working through the accreditation process themselves. We built distinct, clear paths for both — so neither group has to dig through content meant for the other.

Raccoon Web: Behind the Build

We’re proud to have designed and developed the new IRTE Workshop Accreditation site for SOE, alongside the sister launches of the irtec Accreditation platform and the wider SOE website this week. Together, they form a connected digital ecosystem across the road transport sector, all sharing the same live CRM data.
